Shawn A. Dressler was born in Italy before moving to the US when he was two. There, he bounced around quite a lot; New York, North Carolina, Texas–all over Texas. He has worked flipping hamburger patties, cleaning tanning beds, selling clothes, and serving tables. Before transitioning to full-time writing, he was a practicing Landscape Architect and Urban Planner for ten years and credits much of his well constructed and highly visual storytelling to that profession.

Shawn is currently writing one series. The Kingdoms of the Core is a sweeping epic fantasy, the kind you can easily disappear into and don’t want to return from. It follows the adventures of five central characters known as Stonebearers from the different Realms of Taeurn as they try to save their world from collapsing into darkness.

Shawn currently lives in Virginia with his wife and four too many cats.
